Cine Eléctrico

Oaxaca is a land of color and celebration, and Eléctrico Mezcal plays its own integral role in the festivals and traditions of this beautiful country.

In tribute to its homeland and heritage, Eléctrico’s family has created a beautiful short film, ‘Festival Oaxaca’ that has been garnering awards and accolades across the USA.

The film, like Oaxaca, is a vibrant collage of dazzling colors, largely centred on the legendary Dias de los Muertos festival (the Day of the Dead). But beyond the bacchanalia in Oaxaca city, ‘Festival Oaxaca’ expresses the soul of the festival in Eléctrico’s home, San Baltazar Guelavila; a soul which is centuries old and is borne out of love and respect for our ancestors and those we have lost.

With Best Director awards for our own Neville Farmer, Best Editing awards for David Lewis and Best Original Music and Use of Music for Eléctrico’s Founder, Kathleen Blackwell and her Producer Ronan Chris Murphy, the awards laurels for ‘Festival Oaxaca’ are blossoming into quite a shrubbery!

Please take a few minutes to enjoy ‘Festival Oaxaca’ and immerse yourself in the passion, the tradition, the heritage and the love that is in the soul of Oaxaca and is infused into every sip of Eléctrico Mezcal.
