Eléctrico Mezcal is the joint dream of Kathleen Blackwell and Manuel Antonio Cirino. Their collaboration works because they respect each other’s art forms. Kathleen is a musician and an entrepreneur.

Her boundless curiosity about world musical culture led her to Oaxaca and, through that, to Mezcal and Cirino.

Cirino is a third-generation mezcalero, but unlike others who make good, earthy, head-banging hooch for their neighbors, Cirino has higher ideals and seeks a partner who can help him raise the bar of mezcal magicians and attract international acclaim.

These two artists have found a harmonious way of preserving the processes that make mezcal and music such uniquely human expressions. At the same time, they share a passion for pushing boundaries and pursuing perfection.
